The China Dream Organizing Committee's Consumption-Based Poverty Alleviation Service Center, in accordance with the spirit of the document numbered GFB [2018] No. 129, titled "Guiding Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Winning the Three-Year Battle for Poverty Alleviation," aims to assist farmers through sales and achieve common prosperity. It inspires various businesses and enterprises to deeply engage in poverty-stricken areas across the country, focusing on the circulation of agricultural products, to carry out targeted poverty alleviation efforts.
Under the guidance of the China Dream Organizing Committee, the rural revitalization initiatives in recent years have been centered around five dimensions: innovative e-commerce, organizational structures, information services, industrial development, and spiritual and cultural development. These initiatives aim to provide comprehensive services such as consumption-based poverty alleviation, information platform construction, industrial incubation, brand building, and grassroots training to rural areas nationwide, especially poverty-stricken areas, in order to support rural revitalization.
The China Dream Organizing Committee has been dedicated to seeking clues for poverty alleviation and inspiring major enterprises to leverage their respective advantages to cooperate in areas such as industrial assistance, brand marketing, technology empowerment, and logistics facilities in poverty-stricken regions. The goal is to help these regions shape high-quality brands and establish long-term mechanisms for poverty eradication and prosperity.
Earlier this month, inspired by the China Dream Organizing Committee, Fanghua International Holdings (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Jinmei Rural Technology Co., Ltd. successfully joined the poverty alleviation efforts in Shanxi. During the pandemic, some impoverished areas in Shanxi experienced a glut of agricultural products due to factors such as transportation and market access. Upon learning of this situation, the China Dream Organizing Committee promptly addressed the issue of the agricultural product glut for impoverished枣 farmers.
Shanxi's red dates have been renowned for over 1,300 years. Famous for their large size, thin skin, thick flesh, small pit, bright color, and sweet taste, they have been awarded the national "Geographical Indication Certified Trademark." As a traditional and characteristic industry in Shanxi, as well as a key industry for enriching the people, red dates have played a significant role in stabilizing incomes and promoting poverty eradication for many years.
During the pandemic, Shanxi's red dates experienced poor sales and other issues, as local date farmers told us. Due to road closures and sluggish sales caused by the pandemic, the dates were either fed to sheep, discarded, or simply left to fall to the ground unpicked until they rotted, as there was no point in picking them up. The farmers were worried that such high-quality dates would go to waste if they couldn't be sold. Furthermore, the date trees were their only source of income.
This time, Fanghua International has joined hands with the First Secretaries in Shanxi's rural villages and Shanxi Zaoyuan Di Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to provide assistance to Lin County in Shanxi, a national-level poverty-stricken county. By employing households in poverty at the enterprise, purchasing red dates from these households, and leasing their date orchards, Fanghua International has helped lift these households out of poverty.
Fanghua International and Shanxi Zaoyuan Di Biotechnology Co., Ltd. have reached an agreement on organizing the local purchase of red dates. They are fully committed to assisting the date farmers in Lin County, a national-level poverty-stricken county, by purchasing their red dates for use in Fanghua's probiotics and polypeptide products. Additionally, they have come to a consensus where Fanghua International will designate red date purchase points annually, and Shanxi Zaoyuan Di Biotechnology Co., Ltd. will collaborate in the purchase process to support local date farmers. Shanxi Zaoyuan Di Biotechnology Co., Ltd. will also provide relevant information for assistance. In the initial purchase, over 64 tons of Huanghetan red dates were acquired, with an annual purchase volume of approximately 2,000 tons.
Huanghetan red dates grow in the fertile lands of Shanxi, where the environment is elegant, the air is fresh, sunlight is abundant, and there is a large temperature difference between day and night. They are the essence nourishing the Yellow River, the mother river. As a unique treasure of Shanxi, they are known as the "ginseng fruit." Huanghetan red dates are rich in protein, fat, sugar, carotene, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin P, phosphorus, calcium, iron, and other nutrients. The raw materials for Fanghua International's composite probiotics and polypeptide products are all sourced from nature and refined through multiple processes to create nutritional essences, benefiting consumers.
