On November 22, 2023, the flag-raising and plaque-presenting ceremony for four Red Army schools and the Guangdong Provincial Conference on Mental Health Care for Minors was held at Ye Ting Red Army Middle School in Huiyang District, Huizhou. In attendance were Gu Xiulian, former Vice President of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Director of the China Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, and Honorary Director of the National Red Army Primary School Construction Project Council; Zhu Ping, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Committee for Caring for the Next Generation; Fang Qiang, Vice Director and Secretary-General of the National Red Army Primary School Construction Project Council; Zhang Bieying, Honorary Director of the Guangdong Provincial Committee for Caring for the Next Generation; Lin Musheng, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Committee for Caring for the Next Generation; Ni Muyan and Wang Peiwen, Deputy Directors of the Guangdong Provincial Committee for Caring for the Next Generation; Wen Jinrong, Deputy Secretary of the Huizhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Zhai Meiqing, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Xiangjiang Group, among others.

It is reported that the National Red Army Primary School Construction Project was initiated in 2007 by former central leader Li Ruihuan, as well as older generation revolutionaries and their relatives. Guided by the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era proposed by Xi Jinping, the project focuses on the theme of "Remain true to the original aspiration, keep our mission firmly in mind, pass on the red gene from generation to generation." The Red Army Primary Schools delve deeply into red resources, cultivate a strong red culture, and tell red stories well, striving to become cradles for inheriting the red gene and fostering reliable successors to realize the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and communism.
